Suspect in fatal stabbing of transgender University of Washington student turns himself in
The victim has not been publicly identified but has been described as a 19-year-old transgender University of Washington student, who was found fatally stabbed on Sunday in a laundry room at Nordheim Court, a student housing complex.
The suspect in the fatal stabbing of a transgender student in Washington state turned himself in to authorities Wednesday night, after local police described the suspect, who has since been booked into the King County Jail.
The victim has not been publicly identified but has been described as a 19-year-old transgender University of Washington student, who was found fatally stabbed on Sunday in a laundry room at Nordheim Court, a student housing complex, per the Post Millennial.
The suspect has been identified as 31-year-old Christopher Leahy and has been described as a "light-skinned black male," who is "approximately 5’7," with a "thin build." He also reportedly wears glasses and has "short black hair and a goatee with ingrown scruff around the jaw."
No motive has been established so far, but the suspect allegedly has a history of "crises," and surrendered himself over to police after being urged by his family in Bellevue, Washington. He claims to be a "Self-Published Author" at Amazon.
Leahy has been booked into the county jail for investigation of murder.
