Three Air Force personnel killed in Ohio as part of apparent double murder-suicide
Police said 34-year-old Jacob Prichard broke into his co-worker 25-year-old Jaime Gustitus' apartment in Sugarcreek Township early Saturday morning, before allegedly killing him at approximately 2 a.m.
West Milton police in Ohio on Tuesday told reporters that three Air Force employees were killed on a base over the weekend, in what appears to be a double-murder and apparent suicide.
Police said 34-year-old Jacob Prichard broke into his co-worker 25-year-old Jaime Gustitus' apartment in Sugarcreek Township early Saturday morning, before allegedly killing him at approximately 2 a.m.
Prichard then killed his wife Jaymee Prichard, who also worked on the base, placed her body in a car and drove to the West Milton Municipal Building, according to the Cincinnati Enquirer. He then killed himself in the parking lot at 4:33 a.m.
It was not immediately clear where Jaymee Prichard was killed.
The three employees worked at the Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, where Gustitus and Jacob Prichard worked at the Air Force Research Laboratory. Jaymee Prichard worked at the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center.
“We are deeply saddened by this tragic event, and our thoughts and prayers are with the families and loved ones affected," Deputy Commander of the Air Force Material Command, Lt. Gen. Linda Hurry said on behalf of the base.
The Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation, Sugarcreek Township Police Department, Miami County Sheriff's Office and West Milton Police are investigating the crimes.
