Astronomer CEO Andy Byron has stepped down after the viral "kiss cam" moment at a Coldplay concert with Kristin Cabot, the head of human resources at the company.

Both Byron and Cabot jumped off camera when they were caught on the jumbotron at a Massachusetts Coldplay show this week.

Byron is married to another woman and has children. Cabot is also married, according to several reports.

On Friday, the company said both Cabot and Byron were on leave while the board investigates the situation after the kiss cam moment went viral on social media.

On Saturday, the company said in a statement that Bryon resigned.

"The Board will begin a search for our next Chief Executive as Cofounder and Chief Product Officer Pete DeJoy continues to serve as interim CEO. Before this week, we were known as a pioneer in the DataOps space, helping data teams power everything from modern analytics to production AI," the company said in a post on X.

"While awareness of our company may have changed overnight, our product and our work for our customers have not. We’re continuing to do what we do best: helping our customers with their toughest data and AI problems," they added.
