Costco and Teamsters union reach tentative deal to avoid strike

Costco and the Teamsters union have reached a tentative deal to avoid a strike of about 18,000 workers at 56 Costco stores in six states, the union announced on Saturday.

The details of the agreement were not immediately released. Costco did not respond a request for comment. 

Prior to the deal being reached, Costco said it was raising pay to $30.20 per hour.
