FedEx founder Fred Smith has passed away at 80 years of age, according to reports on Sunday.

Smith, a Marine Corps veteran, was a business pioneer who revolutionized the package delivery industry after the launch of FedEx in 1973.

In 2022, Smith stepped down as CEO but stayed on as executive chairman.
