At least one person is dead and four are injured as of Monday evening, after two planes collided on a runway at Scottsdale Airport in Arizona.

A private Learjet 35A "veered off the runway after landing," and collided with a Gulfstream 200 that was parked at a nearby ramp, according to the New York Post

The jet responsible for the accident reportedly belonged to Mötley Crüe front man Vince Neil, who was not on the plane at the time of the incident, per Fox News. The plane was coming from Austin, Texas, at the time.

The accident occurred when the landing gear on Neil's plane failed. The incident occurred at 3 p.m. local time. Two people have been taken to the hospital in critical condition, while a third was treated for non-life-threatening injuries Arizona Family reported

"On board, Mr. Neil's plane were two pilots and two passengers. Mr. Neil was not on the plane," a statement from Neil's lawyer reads. "Mr. Neil's thoughts and prayers go out to everyone involved, and he is grateful for the critical aid of all the first responders assisting today."

Authorities have not identified the person who died so far, but according to the owner of the Gulfstream, the single person on their plane was not hurt.

The crash comes amid a wave of aviation safety concerns, following recent accidents. The biggest incident occurred last month when 67 people were killed in a collision between an American Airlines flight and a military helicopter, which plunged into the Potomac River.

Another plane crashed in Philadelphia a couple days later, where six people were killed.
