Twitter to auction off 'surplus corporate office assets' from San Francisco HQ

Assets from Twitter's iconic San Francisco headquarters are being auctioned off next month, with company logos and office furniture set to be up for bidding in January. 

The auction, hosted by Heritage Global Partners, is offering "kitchen equipment, electronics, furniture, memorabilia & more."

Among the items up for sale are an espresso machine, a "Twitter bird statue," office chairs, and a wide variety of kitchen equipment. 

Computer equipment including several iMacs are also up for sale. 

HGB this week rebuffed speculation that the sale was an effort to recoup some of the tens of billions of dollars new Twitter CEO Elon Musk spent buying the company. 

“If anyone genuinely thinks that the revenue from selling a couple computers and chairs will pay for the mountain there, then they’re a moron," the firm told the San Francisco Chronicle.
