Amazon Prime began streaming President Donald Trump's popular reality show The Apprentice on Monday.

Prime Video released the first season on Monday. The following six seasons will be released on Mondays after March 10. The show will only be available to Prime Video subscribers in the United States.

Amazon previously paid $40 million to license a documentary about Melania Trump, according to the Hollywood Reporter. The company's founder and owner, Jeff Bezos, attended Trump's inauguration in January.

The show was created by Mark Burnett and premiered on NBC in 2004. It drew over 20 million viewers in the first season, according to NBC News

The average weekly Nielsen Rankings stated that the show's first season remained at No. 7 in the Top-10 during its first season. The Reporter stated that the show remained in the Top-20 during the second and third seasons.

At the time, Trump was well-known for being a real estate tycoon and a playboy. However, the show elevated his public persona to national level and helped him become even more famous and popular, which resulted in him becoming the U.S. president in 2017.

The Apprentice is one of the best shows that I ever produced. The charismatic onscreen presence of President Donald J. Trump made it a bona fide hit,” Burnett said in a statement to the Reporter. “Now, thanks to Prime Video, a whole new audience will experience a new season every Monday.”

Trump also responded to the Reporter, saying that he looks forward to watching the show.

"Such great memories, and so much fun, but most importantly, it was a learning experience for all of us," he said.
