JD Vance thinks all of Trump's nominees will be confirmed

Confirming all President Donald Trump's nominees would result in the faster implementation of Trump's ideas, which was why conservatives voted for him in 2024.

Vice President JD Vance is predicting that President Donald Trump will get all of his nominees confirmed by the Senate.

"I think we get every single one of our nominations through, which is a really, really big testament, frankly, to the president’s political influence," said Tuesday, while also acknowledging those already in the administration had or will still to have some "tough conversations" with Senate Republicans for a clean sweep.

Vance also argued that Pete Hegseth, Secretary of Defense; Tulsi Gabbard, Director of National Intelligence nominee; Robert F. Kennedy Jr, Health and Human Services Secretary nominee, and Kash Patel, Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigations nominee, are facing strong opposition is because they are “change-makers.”

“It’s because they’re people who don’t plan to go along to get along. They actually plan to meaningfully change how the government operates," he told Breitbart, praising Hegseth for his desire to clean up the Pentagon and Kennedy for wanting to make America healthy again, as John F. Kennedy's nephew had repeatedly said.

Kennedy, Gabbard and Patel are still waiting for the results of their confirmation hearings.

Last week, Trump suggested on Truth Social that Senate Democrats were trying to slow down the confirmation process, which includes the scheduling of hearings and votes, to "purposefully delay virtually all" of his nominees.

"No matter how good and well-qualified someone is, they are taking maximum time for approval – and laughing about it. They’re having a good time at the Country’s expense and safety," he wrote. "If George Washington and Abraham Lincoln were nominated for a position, the Democrats would take it out to the last moment before having to approve. It is disgraceful!"

However, it was revealed that, despite the alleged attempts by Democrats to slow down the approval of Trump's nominees, the U.S. Senate, which Republicans control, is confirming nominees at a faster pace than under the Joe Biden administration or Trump's first term in office. Only six nominees were confirmed under Biden's and Trump's first terms as of Feb. 4, while the current administration has 11 positions officially filled.

Fox News also wrote that Barack Obama's Cabinet was filled by the end of April, just like under Trump's first term, and Biden's Cabinet was filled by March 22. Presidential Transition reported that George W. Bush's Cabinet was filled by Feb. 1.
