Trump arrives in Saudi Arabia on Middle East trip

President Trump arrived in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on Tuesday for his first stop on his Middle East trip.

Trump was greeted by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman upon arrival and his motorcade was escorted to the Royal Court by riders on Arabian horses, The Hill news outlet reported. Both the U.S. and Saudi national anthems were played before Trump and bin Salman entered the palace.

The president is expected to discuss U.S. efforts to dismantle Iran’s nuclear program, ending the Israel-Hamas war, and oil prices, according to The Associated Press. Trump is expected to attend both a Saudi-U.S. Investment Forum at the King Abdul Aziz International Conference Center and a state dinner later in the day.

Trump will visit the United Arab Emirates and Qatar later this week.
