President Donald Trump said Tuesday he plans to pardon reality TV stars Todd and Julie Chrisley who were sentenced to prison in 2022 after being found guilty of fraud, obstruction of justice and federal tax evasion.

Trump called Todd and Julie's daughter, Savannah Chrisley, to give her the news.

"It's a terrible thing," Trump said on the phone to Savannah in a video posted on X by Special Assistant to the President Margo Martin.

"Your parents are going to be free and clean, and I hope we can do it by tomorrow," Trump said. "Is that okay? I don't know them but give them my regards."

"Thank you so much Mr. President," Savannah said in response on the phone.

Savannah's brother, also on the phone, said, "Thank you for bringing my parents back."

Trump said they were given a "pretty harsh treatment."

Todd and Julie Chrisley were convicted in 2022 of conspiring to defraud Atlanta banks. Their accountant was also found guilty of fraud.

Prosecutors stated that the reality TV stars defrauded the banks out of more than $30 million in loans.

The couple had a reality TV show with their family titled "Chrisley Knows Best."
