Former Calif GOP Gov Schwarzenegger says riots 'wouldn't happen if politicians would do their work'

Former California GOP Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger says riots "wouldn’t happen if the politicians would do their work."
The native Austrian and former pro body builder made the comments on CBS’s “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” on Wednesday in reference to the anti-immigration enforcement protests that became violent in Los Angeles over the weekend and have spread to other cities.
“This wouldn’t happen if the politicians would do their work,” Schwarzenegger told late-night television host Jimmy Kimmel. “For decades, almost four decades, we have had a problem where they talked about immigration reform, comprehensive immigration reform, but the Democrats and the Republicans – both of the parties – have no interest in solving this problem because they use that to raise money.
"And so, what they do is they just keep pointing the finger at each other, and then they're surprised if all of a sudden we are using our middle finger on them, right?" he continued.
Schwarzenegger also called for comprehensive immigration reform.
"It's a shame, the whole thing, because we have a country that needs workers, and when you look at south of the border, they want to work," he said. "So it's perfect match. But let's do it legal, and let's do it in a coherent way, rather than doing it the way it is right now, which is a disaster. And I told you, that's what makes me so disappointed in both of the parties, that both of the parties do not want to go and solve this problem once and for all and create good immigration reform."
