Pennsylvania county missing independent, third-party voters on poll books
Independent and third-party voters were able to cast provisional ballots
A Pennsylvania county on Tuesday was missing independent and third-party voters on poll books as they went to cast their ballots on Election Day.
Chester County independent and third-party voters were told their names were not on the voter roll, 6ABC reported. The issue is county-wide and has yet to be resolved.
Chester County Voter Services told the news outlet that supplemental poll books were being delivered to all 230 precincts as quickly as possible, and that independent and third-party voters were able to cast provisional ballots in the meantime.
The county voter services also said it will conduct a formal review to determine how this occurred and ensure it won't happen again.
More than 75,000 independent and third-party voters are registered in Chester County, which is more than 19% of all registered voters.
In Pennsylvania on Tuesday, voters are casting ballots for the Philadelphia district attorney, Pennsylvania Supreme Court justices, and the Philadelphia City Controller.
