New Jersey Gov. Mikie Sherrill said that a software glitch in the state's motor vehicle system accidentally registered 6,660 non-citizens to vote.

The applicants correctly indicated that they were not U.S. citizens, according to Sherrill, but the system accidentally recorded them as citizens, Fox News reported

The error occurred under the previous administration of Gov. Phil Murphy, and some of those who were mistakenly registered to vote cast ballots, Sherrill said.
