Ramaswamy reportedly hires Vance political advisers to help with expect bid for Ohio governor
The Ohio GOP gubernatorial primary will take place in 2026 and is supposed to be competitive.
Vice President JD Vance's political advisers will reportedly help former GOP presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy in his upcoming bid for Ohio governor.
The hirings followed conversations between Vance and Ramaswamy over the past two weeks about such hirings, a source told NBC News.
Ramaswamy is expected to announce his bid by mid-February. Earlier this month, he quit President Donald Trump’s Department of Government Efficiency, or DOGE, purportedly so that he could run for the open, GOP-held governor's seat in 2026.
