Vivek Ramaswamy files paperwork for expected Ohio gubernatorial run

A formal governor campaign announcement is expected from Ramaswamy on Feb. 24

Entrepreneur and former presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy has filed paperwork with the Ohio Secretary of State’s office to take the first formal step in running for governor. 

Ramaswamy, 39, most recently left the Trump administration’s Department of Government Efficiency when the president was inaugurated on Jan. 20.

According to The Associated Press, Ramaswamy is expected to kickoff his campaign in Cincinnati, his hometown, on Feb. 24.

Ramaswamy will then participate in campaign events in New Albany, Strongsville, and Toledo at the Glass City Center on Tuesday, Feb. 25, according to a website he setup.
