CDC advisers to review guidelines for multiple vaccines including COVID shots, after two-month delay
Advisors are expected to discuss the measles outbreak in Texas and New Mexico in which many of those infected are un-vaccinated.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's advisory panel will meet on Tuesday to review guidelines for vaccines, following a two-month delay.
The meeting was delayed in February after Robert F. Kennedy Jr. became the secretary of Health and Human Services, which oversees the CDC, according Reuters.
The CDC says the meeting was postponed to allow for public comment.
Members of the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices plan to discuss the next generation of COVID-19 shots and the measles outbreak in the U.S. that has infected over 700 people this year – mostly among un-vaccinated people in Texas and New Mexico, the wire service also reports.
