Kristi Noem reveals final message to her from Charlie Kirk
Kirk was assassinated last Wednesday during an open-air event at Utah Valley University.
Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem on Wednesday revealed the final message she received from Charlie Kirk before his assassination one week ago.
"We have to hold these mayors and local officials accountable for what they’re doing," she said, quoting Kirk. Noem speculated to Pod Force One host Miranda Devine that Kirk was referencing sanctuary cities and illegal alien crime.
“I was traveling and in meetings in a different time zone and I didn’t see it and missed it,” she added. “And I will always feel bad that I didn’t respond because I would have said absolutely, I’m on it, which I am."
Kirk was assassinated last Wednesday during an open-air event at Utah Valley University. His alleged assailant, Tyler Robinson of Utah, is in custody. Robinson allegedly maintained a relationship with a transgender person and disliked Kirk's positions on LGBTQ issues.
