Laura Loomer warns Trump to reverse course on Epstein

Conservative firebrand Laura Loomer, a stalwart supporter of President Donald Trump, warned him on Wednesday that his current approach to the Epstein matter risked undercutting his agenda.

Trump, the same day, repeated his assertion that the Epstein Files were a hoax from the Democrats, despite his own promises to release them while on the campaign trail and a botched PR stunt from Attorney General Pam Bondi involving binders of public information distributed to influencers.

“Obviously, this is not a complete hoax given the fact that Ghislaine Maxwell is currently serving 20 years in prison in Florida for her crimes and activities with Jeffrey Epstein, who we know is a convicted sexual predator,” Loomer said in an interview with Politico.

“This is why I said, and I’ll reiterate it again, the best thing that the president can do is appoint a special counsel to handle the Epstein files investigation," she added.

Trump's increasingly frustrated attempts to shut down inquiries into the matter, moreover, have alienated some of his supporters. On Wednesday, he explicitly denounced his "PAST supporters" for what he called falling for the Democrats' hoax.
