President Donald Trump did not see a contentious video posted to his Truth Social account before its publication and ordered its removal upon learning of its inclusion of arguably racist content, a person familiar with the matter told Just the News.

The video largely addressed voter fraud, but appeared to include a snippet of an auto-play of an unrelated video that showed President Barack Obama and former first lady Michelle Obama as apes. The brief clip was part of a broader meme showing many politicians as myriad animals.

The video drew swift outrage from across the aisle, with even some Republican lawmakers condemning the post.

Sen. Tim Scott, R-S.C., urged President Donald Trump to remove a video posted to Truth Social that showed President Barack Obama and former first lady Michelle Obama as apes.

"Praying it was fake because it’s the most racist thing I’ve seen out of this White House. The President should remove it," Scott said. The senator responded to a screenshot of the video, but not the video itself.
