President Donald Trump on Wednesday tore into the media over its coverage of his planned summit with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Alaska this week, accusing them of pronouncing a negative outcome before it even took place.

Trump is expected to meet with Putin in Alaska later this week to discuss a possible resolution to the Ukraine War.

"Very unfair media is at work on my meeting with Putin. Constantly quoting fired losers and really dumb people like John Bolton, who just said that, even though the meeting is on American soil, 'Putin has already won.' What’s that all about?" he posted on Truth Social. "We are winning on EVERYTHING. The Fake News is working overtime (No tax on overtime!)."

John Bolton served as national security advisor during Trump's first term, but was fired by the president, in part, due to his hawkish position that did not align with Trump's foreign policy vision.

Trump further opined that the media would pronounce any agreement a failure, regardless of the terms or possible benefits to the United States.

"If I got Moscow and Leningrad free, as part of the deal with Russia, the Fake News would say that I made a bad deal! But now they’ve been caught," he quipped. "Look at all of the real news that’s coming out about their CORRUPTION. They are sick and dishonest people, who probably hate our Country. But it doesn’t matter because we are winning on everything!!! MAGA."
