Trump Jr. backs Vance as VP calls for pivot in wake of midterm rebuke
Vance's post led to a divided response in the comments, with some users responding favorably, while others suggested that Vance was throwing his running mate under the bus.
Donald Trump Jr. has thrown his weight behind Vice President JD Vance's assessment that the Iran war prompted the Republican losses in the midterm elections on Tuesday evening.
Republicans lost the House and Senate by clear margins, with Democrats notching wins in traditional Republican bastions like Texas and South Carolina. On Wednesday morning, Vance posted his take that voters hated the Iran war, wanted the administration to focus on cost-of-living issues, and sought a reassessment of the U.S. relationship with Israel.
"Every word of this is 100 100 100" Trump Jr. said, sharing Vance's post.
Vance's post led to a divided response in the comments, with some users responding favorably, while others suggested that Vance was throwing his running mate under the bus.
But Trump Jr.'s support for the vice president's assessment of things seems to suggest that key figures in Trump's orbit are united in their calls for a priority change.
