Vance tells 'The View' how he flipped from Trump critic to supporter

Vice President JD Vance on Tuesday appeared on "The View" and explained his flip from critic of President Donald Trump to supporter and, eventually, running mate.
Vance appeared on the program as part of a tour to promote his newly released book about his faith journey. During the appearance, the vice president recalled his past criticisms of Trump, leading co-host Joy Behar to ask him what caused him to change his mind.
"Well, Joy, a little humility. When you make predictions and those predictions turn out to be false, you got to ask yourself, well, what made me wrong about that? What did I not understand or not appreciate?" he said.
"So there's a certain point where you say, you know, I made predictions about this," Vance went on. "I ended up being wrong. And in politics and anything, I think it's important to just say, you know what, I got some things wrong and I was wrong about him."
Most of the program's co-hosts are regarded as solidly left wing, though Vance's appearance was not entirely adversarial. At the beginning of the program, the vice president joked that his staff had informed him the show was hosted by MAGA Republicans, prompting laughs from those present.
