Watchdog launches ad campaign against DISH Network over DEI, climate activism
It follows up on a letter that Consumers' Research Executive Director Will Hild wrote to Attorney General Pam Bondi and FCC Chairman Brendan Carr this week alerting them to the network's policies.
Watchdog group Consumers' Research on Thursday launched an ad campaign against DISH Network over its promotion of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI), climate activism, and gender ideology.
The ad campaign includes a number of mobile billboards, with some stationed outside the Federal Communications Commission and DISH Network headquarters. Consumers' Research also launched a new website, WhyDish.com, outlining the ways that DISH allegedly pushes "woke" propaganda to children.
It follows up on a letter that Consumers' Research Executive Director Will Hild wrote to Attorney General Pam Bondi and FCC Chairman Brendan Carr this week alerting them to the network's policies.
"Rather than focusing on consumers, DISH has instead promoted race and gender-based ideologies in violation of President Trump’s executive orders aimed at eliminating divisive and discriminatory DEI programs in both the public and private sectors," Hild wrote.
"DISH’s violations are so egregious, there is more than enough justification for the Department of Justice (DOJ) and Federal Communications Commission (FCC) to open an investigation into DISH for any violations of federal policy," he added.
