French President Macron visits Washington for first BIden-era state visit

French President Emmanuel Macron arrived in Washington on Tuesday, November 29, for the first state visit of the Biden administration, in a return to some of the diplomatic activities that were ruled out during the COVID-19 pandemic. Video from Macron shows the president and First Lady Brigitte Macron after touching down in DC. The White House said the visit would underscore the deep relationship with one of the United States’s oldest allies on a number of critical issues.
