Honolulu and Kahului, Hawaii tie for cleanest air quality in US

According to the American Lung Association’s 2023 State of the Air report, Honolulu and Kahului, Hawaii have tied as the two cleanest metropolitan cities in the country. Rankings are based on year-round particle pollution levels calculated over a three-year period by the Environmental Protection Agency.
