Rep. Jeffries: House Republicans ‘once again stake out an extreme position’ on debt limit bill

House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) accused House Republicans of putting America at risk to a “catastrophic and dangerous” default. Rep. Jeffries claimed Republican representatives staked out an “extreme position” on their debt relief plan that could cost Americans millions of jobs and crash the stock market. “America should always pay her bills, period,” said Rep.
