Trump takes aim at decades of China’s high tariffs against US: ‘We’re reversing it’

Speaking to the press in the Oval Office on Wednesday, President Donald Trump discussed the ongoing tariff war with China. “Look, I have great relationships in China, with President Xi in particular, but China has been charging us massive tariffs for many years. That’s one of the reasons they were able to steal so many of our companies. They took our companies out of America, and they built their plants in China,” he said. “So now we’re reversing it.”
