President Donald Trump said Monday that people shouldn't be "weak" or "stupid" amid his global tariffs and to be patient.

"The United States has a chance to do something that should have been done DECADES AGO," he wrote on TRUTH Social. "Don’t be Weak! Don’t be Stupid!"

His message appeared to be directed at those who have investments in the financial markets, which would include retirement accounts.

He said not to become a 'PANICAN' (a new party based on Weak and Stupid people!).

"Be Strong, Courageous, and Patient, and GREATNESS will be the result!" his post concluded.

Trump  also announced Monday that he spoke to Japanese Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba about negotiating a deal regarding tariffs.

"Countries from all over the World are talking to us," Trump wrote on TRUTH Social. "Tough but fair parameters are being set. Spoke to the Japanese Prime Minister this morning. He is sending a top team to negotiate!"

Trump criticized Japan, stating that it doesn't treat the U.S. fair when it comes to trade.

Trump last week announced a slew of tariffs on other countries, resulting in the global market taking a hit and countries calling to negotiate deals.
