Rebel News founder Ezra Levant calls Canadian Prime Minister Carney 'dangerous'
Levant said that most Canadians don't know a lot about Carney and his background.
Rebel News founder Ezra Levant on Tuesday called Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney "dangerous."
"I think Mark Carney is dangerous," Levant said on the "Just the News, No Noise" TV show. "Today he managed to have a smile on his face and get out of the White House without too much damage. But we'll see."
President Donald Trump and Carney, head of Canada's Liberal Party, met at the White House today where they discussed tariffs and trade among other issues.
Levant said that most Canadians don't know a lot about Carney and his background.
"I'm a huge skeptic and critic of Mark Carney," he said. "He's a globalist. He's got three passports. He was a former director of the World Economic Forum. He's an environmental extremist. He's for net-zero. But I got to say, I think he got out unscathed today."
Levant said there is a lot of "Trump derangement syndrome" in Canada which may have led to Carney's win due, in part, to Trump's jokes about Canada becoming the 51st state.
"I think about a million Canadians sort of moved their vote towards Mark Carney, and he was banging the anti-Trump drum everywhere he went," he said.
