ICC chief prosecutor removed from post over sexual misconduct allegations: report

Nearly two years after sexual misconduct allegations were lobbed at the chief prosecutor of the International Criminal Court, member state representatives voted to remove him on Friday. 

British barrister Karim Khah was accused of sexual misconduct with a female aide, allegations he has denied, the Associated Press reported. 

He was formally removed from his duties at the ICC in June after the executive committee of the court's oversight body produced a report alleging he had committed "serious misconduct." 

The vote, which took place during a special meeting in New York, was the first time the body has removed a chief prosecutor from the office.
