Russian President Vladimir Putin admitted that Russia is facing fuel shortages after Ukraine attacked infrastructure deep inside the country.

“These attacks on our infrastructure facilities do create problems, that is obvious,” Putin said in an interview with a state TV reporter on Sunday, NBC News reported

He said that while these problems included a "certain shortage" of fuel, the problems are not particularly critical.

Putin said that a task force is working to address the fuel shortages. The statements come after he chaired a meeting with government officials on Sunday, where the possibility of banning diesel exports was considered.
