Multiple leaders from politics and other areas, including President Donald Trump, Rupert Murdoch and heads of tech companies are attending the state banquet held at Windsor Castle on Wednesday.

OpenAI CEO Sam Altman and NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang are among those in attendance, as well as Wall Street Journal owner Rupert Murdoch, according to CNN

“This comes as America’s top technology and AI firms – like Microsoft, NVIDIA, Google, OpenAI and CoreWave – commit a combined £31 billion ($42 billion) to boost the UK’s AI infrastructure,” a statement from the British government reads.

First lady Melania Trump, Princess of Wales Kate Middleton and Prince William are also in attendance at the dinner.

During the dinner, King Charles III gave a speech where he highlighted the relationship between the U.S. and the United Kingdom.

“As we approach the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence next year, it is remarkable to think just how far we have come. I cannot help but wonder what our forebears of 1776 would make of this friendship today,” the king said.

President Trump spoke immediately afterward. He said it was a "first" that he, as U.S. president, is having his second state visit to the UK. He called it one of the "highest honors" of my life. He added that calling the bond between the two countries a "special relationship" - "does not begin to do it justice," according to the BBC

Trump said the two countries are joined by history, language, culture, tradition, ancestry and destiny.
