The U.S. has seized survivors after striking a suspected drug-smuggling vessel in the Caribbean, according to a news report.
A Defense official and another unnamed source confirmed the sixth strike in the region that happened Thursday to The Associated Press on Friday, which has yet to be announced by the Trump administration. This is believed to be the first strike, since they began in August, where the U.S. military picked up survivors.
It is unclear what would be done with the individuals, whether they are now considered to be prisoners of war or defendants in a criminal case.
