Massive nightclub fire kills 59, injures more than 150 in North Macedonia
The start of the blaze was reportedly due to pyrotechnics lighting the roof on fire.
A massive nightclub fire early Sunday in the North Macedonia town of Kocani killed 59 people and injured 155, according to reports.
Interior Minister Panche Toshkovski said 39 of the victims have been identified.
The fire at Club Pulse began around 2:30 a.m. during a performance by a local pop group.
Toshkovski attributed the start of the blaze to pyrotechnics lighting the roof on fire.
