Iranian missile hit dome housing U.S. equipment for secure communications at base in Qatar
The Iranians attacked the Al Udeid Air Base outside of Doha, Qatar’s capital, on June 23 after the U.S. bombing of three nuclear sites inside Iran.
The Iranian retaliatory attack on the U.S. military base in Qatar hit a geodesic dome where equipment for U.S. secure communications was kept, according to Pentagon spokesperson Sean Parnell.
The Associated Press was the first to report that the dome was hit, according to satellite images the outlet had reviewed.
