Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi met Saturday with representatives of the country’s terrorist allies, often referred to as proxies, as the days-long funeral-related events for the deceased Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei proceeded.

Araghchi met with representatives of Hamas, Hezbollah, the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine and the Houthis, according to Iran’s Press TV and reported by Jerusalem News Syndicate

“The Zionist enemy and the criminal U.S. imagine that they can destroy the resistance by physically assassinating its leaders,” Araghchi stated.

“Yet in reality, the pure blood of the resistance martyrs has led to the disgrace and defeat of the American criminals and the Zionist regime.”

The Supreme Leader Ali Khameini was killed during the first wave of attacks by the U.S. and Israeli strikes of “Operation Roaring Lion/Epic Fury.”

The funeral ceremonies are scheduled to run through Thursday, when Khamenei is to be buried at the Imam Reza shrine in Mashhad.

His son, Mojtaba Khamenei, who was appointed as the Islamic Republic’s third supreme leader following his father’s death, has still not been seen, including at the ceremonies as of Sunday morning.

Mourners have been chanting slogans and carrying banners calling for the deaths of President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
