Iran’s Revolutionary Guard warns U.S. forces: 'Finger on the trigger'

The regime has cracked down on nationwide resistance protests, reportedly killing thousands of demonstrators, according to human rights groups.

Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) commander of ground forces declared that the unit is “more ready than ever” and warned the U.S. that it has its “finger on the trigger” amid the deployment of U.S. warships toward the region.

General Mohammad Pakpour cautioned both the United States and Israel against missteps that could escalate the situation, according to a news outlet linked to Iran’s Supreme National Security Council.

The regime has cracked down on nationwide resistance protests, reportedly killing thousands of demonstrators, according to human rights groups.

The protests, which began in late December after the Iranian currency sharply lost value, quickly spread across the country and continued in the new year.
