Israeli strikes and gunfire led to the death of at least 38 people across Gaza as of Saturday morning, according to health officials said without a ceasefire agreement in sight.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Friday at the U.N. General Assembly Friday that Israel “must finish the job” in the war against Hamas in Gaza.

The deaths reported in central and northern Gaza included nine from the same family living in a house in the Nuseirat refugee camp, the Associated Press reported.

The AP also reported that six Palestinians who were seeking aid in southern and central Gaza were struck and killed by Israeli gunfire. The AP cited the hospitals that received the bodies.

Trump said on Friday that he thinks the U.S. is close to reaching an agreement in Gaza that “will get the hostages back” and “end the war.”
