More than 750 people injured, 8 killed in explosion at Shahid Rajaee Port in Iran

An explosion injured more than 750 people and at least 8 killed in the port city of Bandar Abbas in southern Iran, according to a government spokesperson for emergency services.

The Iranian state media outlet Tasnim first reported the news, according to CNN. 

Photos from the scene show thick clouds of smoke coming from the complex.

Other photos show people with injuries being carried away on stretchers.
