Trump Says Iran is 'Losing in Every Way' and that they still want to make deal

President Donald Trump repeated on Friday that Iran is eager to make a deal with Washington to end the war, but Trump added that he hasn’t yet made a decision.

“Right now, they want to make a deal,” Trump told NewsNation. He added that Iran is losing both financially and militarily. 

“If the deal’s not a correct deal, then I wouldn’t even think about it,” he said. “But right now, they want to make a deal because they’re losing in every way,” reported The Epoch Times. 

The war has been ongoing since late February, closing in on seven months, since the U.S. and Israel launched their attack on Iran. 

The Iranian regime has launched strikes and issued threats against commercial vessels in the Hormuz Strait, which it said is necessary to resist the U.S. military operation. The United States has responded by attacking Iranian targets in and around the waterway.

Publicly the terrorist regime that has controlled the country since 1979, is not showing any eagerness to make a deal, according to Fox News. 

One Iranian nuclear official said Friday that Iran has “sufficient cards and options” available. “If you are under attack, you have all the cards at your disposal to defend yourself. Therefore, we have more than one card; of course, we have sufficient cards and options,” said a spokesperson for the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran.

“But beyond these options, we have the resolve — a strong resolve to defend our country,” he reportedly added. “And of course, regardless of how much pressure they exert on us, we will overcome this situation.” 

The United States confirmed Friday Iran will be allowed to have a core Iranian delegation next week at the United Nations General Assembly in New York.

State Department spokesman Tommy Pigott said in a Thursday post on X that Iranian officials will not be allowed to go on “shopping sprees” in the city.

“While ordinary Iranians endure brutal repression, water and electricity shortages, and soaring inflation, the regime’s officials want to go on shopping sprees in New York. Not on our watch,” he wrote. “We will not let the Iranian regime’s elites exploit [UN General Assembly] for a luxury retail splurge paid for by the Iranian people’s suffering, all while the regime funnels Iran’s wealth to support its terrorist proxies.”
