President Donald Trump on Sunday night doubled down on referring to the "monumental damage" that was done to Iranian nuclear facilities over the weekend as "obliteration," as Iran attempts to dispute the claim.

An Iranian lawmaker near the facility in Fordow claimed that the site was attacked but was not seriously damaged, according to Reuters. Satellite images of the facility have also shown serious damage, but the scale of the damage is not clear.

Trump initially made the claim that all nuclear facilities were obliterated during his address to the United States on Saturday night.

"Monumental Damage was done to all Nuclear sites in Iran, as shown by satellite images," Trump posted to Truth Social Sunday. "Obliteration is an accurate term! The white structure shown is deeply imbedded into the rock, with even its roof well below ground level, and completely shielded from flame. The biggest damage took place far below ground level."
