Trump envoys Kushner and Witkoff arrive in Kyiv for talks with Zelensky after meeting with Putin

U.S. envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner arrived in Kyiv on Sunday for talks with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky after the two met with Russian President Vladimir Putin. 

Witkoff and Kushner are leading the Trump administration’s effort to revive peace negotiations aimed at winding down the war in Ukraine.

The visit marks the first official trip to Ukraine by the two Trump representatives. 

The closed-door meeting with Putin on Saturday reportedly lasted more than three hours.

No major announcements have been made after the Moscow meeting.

Kremlin officials have said the discussions were constructive.
