Zelensky says recent conversation with Trump 'most productive,' Trump 'very unhappy' with Putin

Trump says Ukraine is "being hit pretty hard" and will likely need Patriot missiles for defense.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on Saturday described his most recent conversation with President Donald Trump as the "most productive" to date.

"Regarding the conversation with the president of the United States, which took place a day earlier, it was probably the best conversation we have had during this whole time, the most productive," Zelenskiy said in a video address, according to Reuters.

Trump said he was "very unhappy" after his recent conversation with Russian President Putin. 

Trump also said Putin does not want to work toward a ceasefire deal.

He added that Ukraine is "being hit pretty hard" and will likely need Patriot missiles for defense.

Russia shot down four Ukrainian drones on Saturday, according to the city's mayor, Sergei Sobyanin.

The extent of the damange wasn't immediately known.
