Watchdog files misconduct complaint against Biden’s doctor over cancer diagnosis

The group argues the former president’s doctor erred by either failing to administer a cancer test while Biden was in office or by leaving the diagnosis out of his official report.

A private watchdog group on Wednesday filed a complaint of physician misconduct against former presidential doctor Kevin O'Connor for “unprofessional” treatment of former President Joe Biden, according to the filing reviewed by Just the News

The complaint comes as O’Connor is set to testify before the House Oversight Committee on Wednesday regarding former President Joe Biden's mental and physical decline during his time as president.

The group, Protect the Public’s Trust, contends that the former president’s personal physician was left with “unenviable choices” in his care of President Biden surrounding the politician’s diagnosis of advanced prostate cancer after leaving office.

The group argues that a president’s physician has “obligations beyond those governing other health care [sic] providers.” In a normal doctor-patient relationship, the doctor’s sole duty is to the patient, who may require secrecy. But, a White House physician has “a duty to the American public,” PPT argues.

“Either he failed to meet the minimum standard of care owed President Biden and the American public by not detecting a cancer that likely developed under his watch (or that had developed previously, in which case he should also have detected it), or he submitted a false report as a part of his official duties,” reads the complaint submitted to the Washington, D.C. Board of Medicine.

You can read the complaint below:

Within five months of leaving office, President Biden’s personal office announced he had been diagnosed with advanced prostate cancer with metastasis to the bone. The office said Biden and his family were “reviewing treatment options.”

However, numerous physicians assessed that it was probable that the former president’s affliction developed while he was still in office. PPT cited four of those physicians in its complaint. One, Dr. Ezekiel Emmanuel, who worked as President Biden’s advisor during the COVID-19 pandemic, said "He did not develop in the last 100, 200 days. He had it while he was president. He probably had it at the start of his presidency in 2021.”

PPT argues that Dr. O’Connor either “failed to conform to the standards of acceptable conduct” and conduct the necessary tests to detect the cancer or that he knowingly concealed the diagnosis when he authored an official memo about the president’s health.

“The cover-up of Joe Biden’s mental and physical health during his presidency is one of the worst scandals in our nation’s history, potentially implicating staffers and family members, and certainly reflecting poorly on a compliant legacy media,” Protect the Public’s Trust President Michael Chamberlain said in a statement to Just the News

“The revelation shortly after he left office that he had an advanced form of cancer, one that numerous doctors and medical experts have claimed is highly unlikely to not have been present during his term, magnifies the American public’s concerns that they were not being told the truth about his ability to adequately perform the duties of his office,” Chamberlain said. “We believe it is imperative for the health of the nation to get to the bottom of it.”
