West Virginia active shooter was taken down by police, report
A Special Response Team has been activated and deployed to the location.
Police have taken down the shooter in Weirton, West Virginia, according to local reports.
According to 7News, the alleged shooter came out of a house and was shot down by police. He was taken away in an ambulance.
Officials have confirmed that there was one female victim who was shot in the face. She was taken to the hospital and is in stable condition, according to 13 News.
The West Virginia criminal investigation unit and the state police have taken over the investigation.
