The National Football League allowed individual teams in the league to decide whether to have a moment of silence before last weeken's games – following the assassination of political conservative activist Charlie Kirk.
Some teams made the decision to have a moment of silence for Kirk while five teams decided not to.
The teams that didn't were the Baltimore Ravens, Cincinnati Bengals, Detroit Lions, Indianapolis Colts and Minnesota Vikings, according to The Mirror newspaper.
The NFL teams that held a moment of silence included the Dallas Cowboys, Kansas City Chiefs, Miami Dolphins, New England Patriots, New York City Jets and the Tennessee Titans.
The NFL has held moments of silence and paid tribute to others in the past, including NBA star Kobe Bryant and other victims of the 2020 helicopter crash in which they were killed, school shooting victims or an attack on a house of worship.
Kirk was assassinated last week while speaking at Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah.
The 31-year-old had become one of the most influential voices on the right in recent years, notably founding Turning Point USA, with chapters at universities across the country and hosting speakers' summits for young conservatives.
