Former President Bill Clinton on Friday echoed former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton's call to the House Oversight Committee to allow them to testify in a public hearing about their relationship with Jeffrey Epstein.

The couple agreed to give a deposition as part of the panel's investigation into the late convicted sex offender, after they were threatened with possible jail time over a failure to comply with a congressional subpoena.

Hillary Clinton was the first to call for a public hearing in the case, stating Thursday that she and her team had spent six months engaging in "good faith" negotiations with House Republicans.

Bill Clinton claimed that the current arrangement does not help Epstein's victims or the public that wants the truth.

“I will not sit idly as they use me as a prop in a closed-door kangaroo court by a Republican Party running scared,” Bill Clinton wrote on X. “If they want answers, let’s stop the games & do this the right way: in a public hearing, where the American people can see for themselves what this is really about.”

Hillary Clinton is scheduled to appear before the panel on Feb. 26, followed by her husband on Feb. 27. They have not been accused of any wrongdoing.
