Democratic Minnesota Sen. Tina Smith hospitalized after feeling sick at Capitol
Smith is staying overnight in the hospital for more observation, but she is expected to be back at work soon, according to the message. It is not known what specifically is wrong with Smith.
Sen. Tina Smith, D-Minn., had to go to the hospital on Wednesday after she wasn't feeling well at the Capitol, according to her staff.
"While at work at the Capitol today, Sen. Smith started to not feel well," a message from Smith's staff posted to her X account reads. "She went to the Capitol physician who recommended she undergo more thorough examination at GW hospital."
Smith is staying overnight in the hospital for more observation, but she is expected to be back at work soon, according to the message.
Smith, 67, has been in office since 2018.
It is not known what specifically is wrong with Smith.
