Luna says foreign governments worked with Epstein

Florida GOP Rep. Anna Paulina Luna said that foreign governments worked with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

Luna posted on X about the deceased financier on Tuesday, referencing congressional testimony from Epstein victims earlier that day. House Republicans on Tuesday released 33,000 files they received from the Justice Department regarding Epstein.

In Luna's post, she wrote, "Foreign governments (as in more than one) were named to be working with Epstein."

She also said that there will be names in the files Congress released, and "Per the victims, we need to follow the money trail. This was a well orchestrated operation with many tentacles to include shell corporations, etc."

She added that House Oversight and Government Reform Chairman Comer "is sending a SARS request to the US Treasury. There is a lot to uncover ref the Deutsche Bank and how money was funneled and moved."

Luna also noted that "Epstein’s network was described as an international trafficking network to all members of congress who were present (both Democrat and Republican) and also involved trafficking women from Slavic nations as well. Immigration fraud, etc. Many of those women have stayed silent due to fear of retribution."

"Epstein was still victimizing underaged girls while on work-release while wearing an ankle monitor, only to spend the evening in prison," Luna said. "The attorneys of some of these implicated individuals have apparently already tried to contact some of the victims attorney’s."

The Trump administration and congressional Republicans have faced backlash for their handling of the Epstein case, particularly related to the late financier's alleged "client list," which the administration says does not exist. 

House Republicans have promised to work with the DOJ to protect the identities of Epstein's alleged victims or reveal information that could compromise criminal proceedings.
